INTER SHOW INTEREST IN LILLE STARS AHEAD OF SUMMER MOVE

Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are attracting serious interest in signing two of Lille stars Jonathan David and Zeki Celik. Both David and Zelik are an instrumental part of Lille, having helped the club win only the fourth French championship title in history last season. According to exclusive information from FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri reportedly sent in scouts to Les Dogues’ latest encounter against Olympique Lyonnais at the Groupama Stadium on Sunday evening. Lille went on to narrowly grab the victory by a 1-0 score line, as both the crucial players played a key role in keeping Lyon at bay.

Jonathan David is valued at €50m, according to transfermarkt, and his contract expires only at the end of the 2024/25 season. He is only in his second campaign in northern France, wherein he has bagged 29 goals in 83 appearances so far. According to latest reports from England, Arsenal are also in pole position for the 22-year-old summer target, who is ‘ready to move’ from his Lille spell.

25-year-old Celik has been with Lille since 2018, and is one of Ligue 1’s best full-backs. He was linked with numerous clubs in the previous summer transfer window but has since witnessed his demand shrivel down amongst interested clubs. With his contract expiring in June 2023, Lille presumably have a final chance to cash in on the Bursaspor  youth product, in order to avoid losing him for free next season. He has a transfermarkt value of €17m.

While the Italian champions already possess recent acquisition Denzel Dumfries in their ranks as a proper right wing-back, it is the intention of reinforcing the forward line that the Nerazzurri find stronger. Keeping that in mind, David can certainly be touted as a priority among the two in-demand Lille players.
